Opinion: Don't Vote for Joe Biden, He Doesn't Care About Millennials

By Lawrence Lease on January 2, 2019

“Bernie Sanders cannot run for president; he is too old, it’s time for a candidate that isn’t a white man, and he ran for president before and lost!”

This quote can be attributed to former Clinton supporters desperate to throw their money behind the next centrist, someone who could likely be Joe Biden, the 76-year-old white guy that ran twice already. The former Vice President surprised everybody when he didn’t run in 2016. Would he have beat Hillary? Those debates would have been fun to watch seeing as how they have the exact same views on everything.

Millennials and Generation Z kids (who will be voting for president for the first time in 2020. Go us!) seem to love Joe Biden. On the surface, he’s very likable. He wears cool sunglasses, says crazy silly stuff, and has close friendships with younger women. He loves to hug them! He can’t seem to keep his hands off them in photos, it’s so charming!

The sunglasses can likely be attributed to him probably having cataracts since he is so unbelievably old. And his gaffes remind everybody of their least racist uncle. You know, the uncle that thinks black people are cool but doesn’t really “get” racism or ever tries to think from the perspective of someone else.

Joe Biden had a long career in the Senate, defined by voting for the Iraq War and fighting desegregation in our nation’s public schools. Biden consistently fought on the wrong side of integration, his focus was preventing black and white children from riding on the bus together which all supporters of desegregated schools agreed was a key aspect of normalizing the process.

Biden’s record on race should be disqualifying for any candidate in the 2020 field. His “gaffes” represent his hidden racist views on brown people. He and Trump are almost the same when it comes to blurting out racist remarks. Another thing Trump and Biden have in common: they’re both Boomers. Meaning they’re both, for the most part, entitled and they have delusions of grandeur when they talk about their youth.

Of course, the delusions are different, Trump saw himself as the genius businessman while Joe Biden insists he was a young activist Baby Boomers see themselves as these heroic protesters that fought for justice or whatever. However, the facts suggest that very few participated in the counterculture, most enjoyed the benefits of the robust post-war economy received the highest levels of income, and proceeded to take all their gifts and used them to buy luxury cars, yachts, and fund their midlife crises where they got divorced and abandoned their families. All of their greed culminated in their electing Ronald Reagan so he could ruin America and destroy the economy for 90% of the country.

Joe Biden couldn’t decide when he was born. I only mention his Boomer lineage because he does. Joe Biden, in typical Boomer fashion, attacked millennials the week of this writing. Biden says he has no empathy for millennials that complain about the state of the US and glorified the Boomer past by saying “We decided we were gonna change the world.” A fine job you did, Joey, how many millennials died in the wars you pushed for?

Joe Biden said he doesn’t care about the generation shows that he’s not going to do anything to fix the housing crisis, the student debt crisis, the healthcare crisis, income inequality, or anything that has caused millennials to be set so far back in terms of getting ahead. Basically, if you’re under the age of 50, Biden is not interested in helping you. So remember kids, say “no” to neoliberal centrists.
